Whoa.

You missed so much. I'm so sorry. I didn't write and now EVERYTHING changed. I'm coming home from my mission. jk it didn't change that much. Your heart was racing though eh?? Lemme tell you about it.

So. I got transferred away from my family and friends in the Blossom Valley Ward. I shed a tear. I moved up to the cats, or in other words Los Gatos. She's chill. Like one of the main spots we work is across the street from a lambo-bentley-rolls-royce combo store. But also there's not nearly as much shnob as Atherton. Happy balance of clout and contrition. But anyways, as you might guess, I have also been joined together with a new companion. He's exceptionally weird and so we complement one another quite nicely. The synergy is off the chain. 📡

I'm unsure whether or not it is happening over here yet. Like there's some movement in the water but the ball ain't quite rolling from what I can tell. There are some interesting individuals however. In particular Jesse and Diana.

Jesse and Diana are very faithful believers in Jesus Christ and the Elders knocked on their door one day. When I arrived I was unsure what had been taught but we entered in and explained the essential and unique aspects of the Church of Jesus Christ including Priesthood, Ordinances, Prophets, Divine Organization, and so on. We left them with those thoughts and an appointment to return after some time to ponder.

Upon return it seemed initially that they were very gently trying to turn us away. We explained that, "we claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege" and that we intended to unite with them under our shared faith in Christ regardless of differences that might arise between our theologies. We then explained to them that they could know for themselves that what we taught really was truth by receiving a witness from God that the Book of Mormon was true.

We expounded that the Book of Mormon was the "keystone of our religion" and that the veracity of our every claim rested on this Book.

If the Book of Mormon is not the word of God then it must be, no matter how remarkable, a work of fiction making Joseph Smith's claim to prophethood fraudulent, thus falsifying The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as God's church. Strikingly, the converse is also true.

I testified then and I testify now that the Book of Mormon is indeed the word of God. I know so because God Himself by the power of His Spirit has made it manifest unto me and no power of earth or hell can separate me from this knowledge that I have now received. Because of the knowledge I have obtained I can also testify with conviction that Joseph Smith translated that record by the gift and power of God, which he exercised under the mantle of prophet, seer, and revelator. I know this same prophet restored Jesus Christ's new testament church and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's Kingdom on earth.

I know that this same witness that I have received is available to any humble seeker of truth who will read the Book of Mormon and "ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true" with a "sincere heart" and "with real intent" (Moroni 10:4). I know this promise is from the Lord who is, "powerful to the fulfilling of all his words" (Alma 37:16).

Following this promise is, in my mind, is the most pure and comprehensive admonition in all of scripture, "Come unto Christ, and be perfected in him" (Moroni 10:32). As I spoke these same words to Jesse, in a moment of spectacular clarity and light, he received his witness from God before our very eyes. He began to tear up and he exclaimed something along the lines of, "That's my faith described in one sentence!" We made sure he realized that it was no coincidence that such a concise declaration came from the Book of Mormon.

I testify that the Book of Mormon will help any man, woman, or child come to a knowledge of their Redeemer, Jesus Christ. No knowledge can bring joy and peace as exquisite. This volume has planted in me a love of Christ that has grown into a beautiful life-sustaining tree whose fruit is sweet above all that is sweet. I know Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father live and they know and love each one of us in a way no other being can.
